Thanks for posting in Sage City. This sounds like it may be related to knowledgebase article KB535211 - "Background Tasks window does not open or no background task is displayed". You can access it from the knowledgebase by logging into the Customer Portal.

This knowledgebase article stated that this was a known issue and that a solution was not yet available.  Do you know if there is a solution yet?  We've know had this happen on a 2nd users computer.

One other thing, when I try to go to Sage's knowledge base and enter the ID that you provided above it returns NO RESULTS.  This has been a problem as we search for any knowledge base articles.

I am going to address both questions in this reply. It is still a known issue so the work around still applies to it. We have a new knowledgebase so the old article ids no longer apply. Search for article id 21219 - "Background Tasks window does not open or no background task is displayed."
