Crystal Reports vs Report Designer

I have several years of experience with Crystal Reports.

I opened Report Designer today and it is totally alien to me.    The first report I am working on is RD report.  I made a copy and was surprised to find no undo function.

Ordinarily I would think it would be easier to modify an existing RD report instead of starting from scratch in Crystal, but after looking at the RD interface I am questioning that course.

Are there compelling reasons to design reports in Report Designer vs Crystal Reports?

Are there online resources or videos for learning Report Designer?  I found Sage University has a class in March that costs around $600.

If you have no report design experience RD is better because it make the correct associations for you.  There is no copy paste, undo..... several things we get use to using in Crystal.  For a simple quick report RD is the way to go.  You should look at TUG (Timberline Users Group) another great resource.
