Preview of Native files in Document Management Scan Batches

In the past we have been importing (through a Scan box) TIF files to bring into DM and they always show a preview, what DM calls a Page view, which has been great.  We have recently been testing the import of Native Files through the same scan area, picking Native instead, but I have yet to figure out how to make those files show a preview.  The Page View box is grayed out when importing these types of files.  The Sage DM documentation says we should be able to preview PDF's so I am looking for a setting we possibly have not selected or where I am missing why this is not working.

The ability to preview native file format will most likely only work with the launch application button on the right side of the scan settings window. This will be true for most file types that are brought in via the Native File . Native format is for things like word docs, excel spreadsheets, .pdf, .tif, .jpg etc. If you want to be able to preview an already scanned image of a .tiff I would use the image file format instead of Native format in the scan options when making a new batch. This will allow you to classify the document in the same fashion but will not require you to use the launch application with the exception of some .pdf files that may still require to be opened via the Launch Application button on the right side of the preview pane. I hope this helps.

    Hey Jacob,

Unfortunately scanning/importing a tif leaves the name of the document in the default document batch naming scheme while importing a Native file allows the users to give each document a real name. I will let them know that the launch application is the only option.
