Can you change vendor master files (ie: Inactive) via Excel and import back to Sage (Easier and faster) if so how?
I know I did this years ago but with all the version upgrades it must look totally different.

Hi PDCRAWFORD,
We don't have a way to do this using an import. You can put in a request to add this feature by going to Help, Suggestion box:
In the meantime, the easiest way to do this is to add the Active column to the company list and just uncheck the companies that are not active:
Thanks!
I use Access to easily update multiple vendors to inactive. You would still need to scroll down the list and check the box. But it's easier and quicker than pulling up a vendor, clicking the box, and saving each one.
Keeping up to date all contacts and addresses is particularly a challenge in all Sage products, Sage Estimating, Bid Matrix, CRE 300 and CM especially if they are all supposed to be (eventually) working together. Its obvious something will have to be drawn up and designed to handle this in the near future. I understand that certain records use the old information but a solution such as Sage Est Database Editor where data such as this address book information can be seen and edited in a friendly spreadsheet like format with find/replace, fill down, duplicate etc all the while the system handling changing records as needed in existing datasets is much needed!!
Is this using Intaact ?? We do not have that at this time.
Brief instructions?? I haven't used Access much.
can you connect to a Sage Construction Management database via Access? I know you can connect to a Sage300 database.
