The majority of our customers are able to download and update taxes from within the payroll product. These steps are documented in How do I download and update taxes in the Payroll application.
Some customers on Subscription business care plans or who access Sage 300 CRE through our Sage Partner Cloud may receive an error message when they attempt to download taxes from within Payroll. (Error: Your Service Plan is expired.) If this is your experience, you will need to download Payroll tax files manually.
In addition, if you do not have internet access you will need to follow the instructions to manually download and update the Taxes on your system.
