FAS Premier Depreciation - User Session Control

SUGGESTED

Hi Everyone!

I have a client who sometimes needs to kick users out of FAS to free up a session for a more key user.

They are using FAS Premier Depreciation 2020.1.1. What are our options with Premier for force ending user sessions? In the Network version we can restart the Sybase service if all else fails, but for Premier, restarting the SQL Server service is much less feasible.

Thanks!

    Hello Jason,

Sorry, I seemed to have somehow missed this one. I was on PTO for a month and I am just noticing this now after been back for two whole weeks.

Technically, the question would be a bit beyond the scope of support, usually, the SQL server should drop non-live connections after a time, but if you know how to delete records from a table - In the BESTSYS database, you could drop users from the BpNetMLock table which would shortcut the need to stop/start the SQL server.

If you are using remote desktop, getting the users to logout properly, not just disconnect the session, would help too.
