Hello Deryl,

Since there is not a Category field in the program, I am assuming you have customized a General Information field for that purposes. So then you have two choices:

1. Just change the field to the new category which has the effect of making the asset appear as if it was always in that category. If the change is due to the asset mistakenly being in the wrong category, this would work for you
2. If you need to track the change from one category to another, then you will want to go to the Edit Company and change the Transfer By: field to your category field and preform the transfer as usually. See How to transfer an asset for details.
