Hello Rumartinez,

The Configure System Database screen opens when the program is either unable to see the SQL server or unable access the BESTSYS database on the SQL server. If it was not working at all, the answer would be rather easy as to what to look for, but you are saying it sometimes works.

If that "sometimes works" is on a different client installation then to find the SQL Server name you would need to look into the registry of the working client at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Best Software\MSBESTSYS and just note the EngineName and ensure it is entered into the non-working client correctly.

If that sometimes work and sometime does not work is on the same client installation, the good news is: the issue is not with the information appears in the dialog or in the client configuration. The bad news is: the issue is going to be in your network or SQL server setup. My first guess would be: Connections across a Wide Area Network or to SQL clusters are not supported by the Sage Fixed Asset program, both configurations are know to cause the occasion disconnect and/or connection issues.
