Extract or Copy a Company

Question

Hi 
 I am currently using Sage version 2014.1. 
 Are we able to copy a company and delete some of the assets that we do not want it to be in the new company? 
 However, I do not think Sage have field for me to choose "delete" 
 So does that means the only way to "delete", 
 is to dispose all the assets and then reset the period, such that all unwanted assets will no longer appear in the new company? 
 
 Is there an easier way to dispose assets in a bulk way and not individually? 
 As the assets that I wish to delete is a particular GL Asset Account Code, and there are MANY assets. 
 It will be too time consuming to delete one by one. 
 I have attached a screen shot to let you have a better understanding on the varies GL Asset Account Code that I have.

Hello Kai Wan, 
 While it will not effect your particular question, the Version 2014.1 version of the program is no longer supported and we would recommend updating. 
 I am going to assume by Delete you actually mean Dispose. If you actually mean to delete assets: See What is the difference between deleting and inactivating an asset for more information on the ramifications of deleting assets. 
 In doing a disposal there is still a calculation of depreciation which need to be accounted for in the Year of the disposal. This is why disposed asset will appear on the Depreciation Expense Report in the year of the disposal transaction but fall off the report once depreciation is ran into the next fiscal period. The disposal of assets will not remove them from the asset list when the default <All Completed Assets> group is used.
