Fixed Asset 2018.1 Client Crashes After Installation Windows 7

We recently upgraded our FAS server side to 2018.1. I am attempting to install the Premier Client on Windows 7 workstations. After the installation and reboot when trying to open the Premier Depreciation it will ask to Configure System Database. I keep the defaults:


Engine Name: vwbFAS\SQLEXPRESS
Physical Database Name: BESTSYS

The application then crashes.
Sometimes I get a Windows error pop-up that says: SBDDesktop.exe has stopped working

If I try opening Premier Planning it crashes with an error: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server][DBNETLIB]SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

I have tried to install it on 2 different computers and get the same results.
I will attach a word document with screenshots of the installation on my computer that I just attempted.

The Software installed on the FAS server works fine. It is only the Client that is having problems.

I submitted a support ticket, and they said it was too complicated and I should call support. After being on hold for a long time, I decided to try this.
