I inherited a messy set up in our FA system. The current GL numbers don't match ours and a lot of the descriptions are off (for example, it could say 'Marketing Depreciation' but actually routes to R&D). 

Currently, the GL accounts are formatted as 123-456-7890 and often have no correlation to our actual accounts. Our company's 'real world' accounts are 12-345-678910. We have to do a post export v-lookup, etc before posting to our GL - it's a mess!

My questions are 1) can those GL fields be customized and 2) can we do a mass correction, such that all assets listed 123 become ABC rather than fixing individually?
