Sagefas 500 error state that "placing assets in service dates after 2019 are not allowed"

SUGGESTED
Dear Team,

I’m  receiving an error  in sagefas 500 when attempting to add a new asset with a service date  from January, 2020 that states "placed in service dates after 2019 are not allowed".  Please advise as it seems it the limitation of the system that was stated  or informed us before.

Please advise .

Kindly regards

    Dear Delray,

thanks for swift response, as if this case was noted and resolved in 2012 version  and sage did not notify us  on this issue, can help to get 2012 version to update our system please.. I think that will make life easy as still have assets that are not added to the system since january 2020

    Hello Gerald,

The FAS 500 Asset Accounting versions 2011.1 and prior did not support Placed-in Service dates after 2019. The issue was fixed in 2012. The only way around that issue would be to update and to update from 2011.1 and prior directly would require a PSG engagement.

Please See How do I contact Sage Expert Services for details.

From a Support prospective, the 2012.1 product version has not been available nor supported for 5 years and, currently, the oldest available product to download is the 2018.1 version.

Additionally, with Windows 7 support having been ended by Microsoft, there is no guarantee that the 2012.1 product will behave properly in Windows 10 and I have been running into many issue of late which was caused by attempting to run older product versions in newer Microsoft environments.

The only advice I can give is to contact Sales and setup a PSG engagement to update your data.
