depreciation summary asset subtotal report does not show all of the assets

Question

ran period close yesterday. moving on to January 2024. Ran the Depreciation Summary Asset Subtotal and all it lists is one asset- land. There are many more assets. What happened?

 Those reports are very different in their basic design. The Depreciation Summary will include prior year transfers and disposals which the Depreciation Expense report does not. See Depreciation Summary does not tie to Depreciation Expense Report for more information.
