Across five posts, we will highlight how technology can help HR teams optimize their operations.  The series [begins here]. In this fourth post, we look at the benefits of automating payroll processes.

Payroll is one of the most arduous, but also most easily automated processes, in HR’s domain. And automation can yield substantial cost savings, primarily in reducing errors that come with manual processes. 

Payroll automation simplifies tasks including determining rates for regular & overtime hours, calculating & managing vacation and other benefit entitlements, wage increases, commission payments, and withholding requirements.  Time & attendance management systems can feed data to the HRMS and obviate the need for manual recording systems.
