The name can be changed on the employee's Demographic page, Personal tab. If the name fields are greyed out, you will need to review your permissions in Group Security.

Navigation path in Sage HRMS to change an employee's name: Employees > (Tasks) View/Edit Employee > Personal tab > Demographics tab > Personal tab.  Make you have selected the employee for whom you want to change their name.
