Will the new COVID leave Report As field used for the 941 also take care of this, or can we get the W2 box on earnings like we have on deductions so that we can pick Other Information?
It is too soon to tell. As of now, I do not have an answer of how COVID-19 leaves will be handled relating to the Form W-2 in Sage HRMS. While some snippets related to the Form W-2 have been announced, the first draft of the W-2 Form has not been released by the IRS. I anticipate there will be changes in the Q4 product update (scheduled to be released in December 2020).

According to the IRS Notice 20-54, Covid leaves will go in box 14 (other information) which is an already existing box on the W2.
