Sage HRMS Learning Series - SAP Crystal Reports

Hello all!

Thank you for joining us for our Learning Series on SAP Crystal Reports. Here are the answers to the questions you posted during the question. Fun fact: I had no idea that my call had dropped during answering these so these were actually answered twice: once by Lynn and Robin to you all and the second time by me, all to myself. You all would have loved my answers...they told a story of love and loss and hardships overcome.

Okay, not really but it sounds good, doesn't it? Here are the answers:

Question Asked Answer Given
Prompt group text isn't in the paperwork  Good catch. In the Handout, the List of Values is Static which will not have the Prompt Group Text window. Lynn is using the Dynamic List of Values which includes this field. For our purposes, both Static and Dynamic will do pretty much the same thing but Lynn is showing you the fancier way of doing it. :)
The training for 30 minutes that is part of the Gold Support can help you with Crystal reports from the payroll data bases? Sure can. That session is for whatever subject you can think of. They can definitely get you started on running Crystal Reports from Payroll.
I would greatly value the new 2020 W4 for a future webinar....  Also what to expect for program changes Thanks for the feedback! It is definitely something Lynn is chomping at the bit to create. :)
Can you give us an example of how to pull payroll information They are going to be the "UP" tables for U.S. Payroll information and "CP" tables for Canadian. Also, we do have a class that covers this complete subject (Using Crystal Reports with Sage HRMS Payroll.) The good news is that it's pretty much the same way you would pull HR information, it is just different tables to pull from.
Can you tell me what the field it is to pull payroll information?  It's more pulling from the Payroll Tables. There are a whole set of different tables that contain all of your Payroll data.
Can you give me the database field for payroll? They are going to be the "UP" tables for U.S. Payroll information and "CP" tables for Canadian.
Can we save a report we created so it's usable via the Sage HRMS Client? You sure can. Sage HRMS allows you to add a Crystal Report to the menu or you can save the report on your desktop and view it by downloading the Crystal Viewer.
where is Crystal viewer?  Crystal Viewer is built into Sage HRMS. If you add a crystal report to Sage HRMS it will automatically open the report. You can also download it seperately from the SAP Crystal Reports website if you wish to use it outside of Sage HRMS.
If I save a report so others can see it, where do they go? You can choose where you save the Crystal Report. We do give you a folder for saving your reports on the Data Folder where the server installation of Crystal Reports is installed.

See you in the next Learning Series!
