HELP!!!! Issues with downloading 2016.2

SOLVED

Hello and good day! I am hoping someone can help me right away. The reason for my urgency is a class that is starting for me and has deadlines for assignments etc. I am trying to register and install the software required for the class and while I have been able to register the product and have indeed received an email with a serial number and key code, when I go back to the page where I can click on the executable file to start the download, I click on the required file per my class instructions (2016.2) and there is no download that starts...all I keep getting is the following error message.

I have contacted my instructor who has told me to contact Sage help which is why I am now reaching out to this community. I am desperate for your help.

(As a side note, it seems like if I click on 2017 file it starts a download no problem!!) But our class instructions are to download 2016.2 and the text book we are using is Sage 50 Premium Accounting 2016). Thank you for your time and I really look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,

Krystal Akerman

Hi Erzsi, yikes!! Okay....is there any ETA on when this will be working again. We have course assignments with due dates and cannot proceed without the software. If we had an ETA on when this could be done perhaps we can work with our instructor on alternate due dates because of this issue of not being able to access the software??

You could go ahead and install the 2017 version (not sure registering again will give you 2017 codes, it should), using this version will upgrade any 2016.2 files. Once the 2016.2 is available again, you'd be able to install that along side the 2017 (you cannot downgrade files converted though). A little complicated but it's a workaround. If your teacher can give you an extension because of this thread that's also a bonus.

*Avoid installing the regular version of Sage 50 as student files will be converted and then won't open in the Student version afterwards.
