Unable to use activation serial number and key code for students

I have sent an email asking for help from Sage but still have to hear back from them. Does anyone know why the activation codes don't work? Any possible explanation?

    Thank you for reaching out. Tested registration for 2024 and 2021 codes successfully this morning, look for an email from:  [email protected] 


    There could be a few reasons why the activation codes are not working. One common issue is a mismatch between the version of the Sage 50 software installed and the activation codes provided. Please ensure that the version you installed matches the codes, which are specific to versions 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, or 2024.

    Here's what you can do to resolve the issue:

    1. Registration and Codes: If you haven't registered yet, please do so at Sage Education. After registration, you will receive an email with your username, serial code, and activation code for a specific version of Sage 50. Please ensure you're requesting the correct year version of the software. As of our latest update, codes for 2024 are being issued promptly.

      Please note that educational versions of Sage 50 2019-2020 and Sage 300 2021 were retired on December 31, 2023. While they are still listed on the website, support or codes will not be provided after that date. You'll find that you can only select the following versions when registering:

    2. Software Download: Make sure to download the corresponding version of Sage 50 as per the codes you received. The download link is available on the Sage Education website.

    3. Version Check: Double-check the installed version of Sage 50 against the codes received. If there's a mismatch, you'll need to obtain a new set of codes for the correct version. Remember to enter the codes exactly as they are provided, in capital letters, and distinguish between the letter 'O' and the number '0'.

    4. Activation without Account ID: The student version doesn't require an Account ID for activation. If you're prompted for this, you might have installed the regular version. In this case, you need to uninstall it, use the clean-up tool, and then reinstall the correct student version.

    5. Name as Company Name: When activating the student version, use your name in the company name field.
