From the slip list choose selection. Then under filters choose reference selection and make your choice.

Thanks, that is what i did before posting the question. i don't see the reference filter in any of the sublists. would you please tell me which filter group it is in?

It's usually under favorites. It's called Reference on my system. What version are you running? Might need to login and take a look.

Just checked my v2015 and I don't see it as a filter under the usual Slip Listing VIEW, but I do see it as a filter on a Slip Listing REPORT.

sfox, you may just need to set up a report to view them that way rather than trying to do it in the List View.

How do you support yourself spending all this time on free advice?  How can i help you get business?  I have a programming background and have used TS since v3 and am still amazed at how many common sense functions do not work well or are not built in, such as batch search and replace of reference, client, activity. I've looked at switching to another program but have not been convinced I'd find any better.

Actually, "batch search and replace" usually isn't an issue - depending on your need.  If you merely change the Nickname, it will change it on all clients/activities/references etc.  Also you can import/export any common clients, names and references to other slips or clients, etc.
