Time Capture too slow

SUGGESTED
Posted By FormerMember

My office has found that TimeCapture is markedly slower with the latest upgrade. The key problem is that keystrokes are not buffered.  So, if I am in the Client field, and I type AXEMAN, after a few seconds the menu will display names starting with AA, then XA, then EA and so on until it gets to NABBER -- no help in selecting the actual AXEMAN client.  Since I need to enter a dozen or so clients each day, this slowness has become my most frequent irritant at work.

Users of both Windows 7 and Windows 10 have the same problem in my office. Both our TimeSlips consultant and our IT consultant are stumped.

Why can't TimeCapture buffer keystrokes so that when it does wake up, it gets the whole name I just typed?

Allen, while I am aware that the "official" response from Sage is that this has to do with the new Microsoft controls, I respectfully disagree.

What Richard is describing and what some of my upgraders are also suffering with is happening BEFORE he selects anything.  He's just trying to use the typing to get to the right entry.  So this would PREcede the control re: selecting of the entry once he gets there.

It is a problem, and saying its either A) not a problem, or B) is caused by a Microsoft control is not a sufficient response.
