Slow Database & Rates Randomly Calculating at Zero

I was directed to this link when I was told that the system we purchased was having (and constantly has) issues that causes crashes or delays. This most recent issues makes me believe the system is flawed because it is randomly zeroing out some attorney fees. I am not sure how to fix this since all the rates are in the system and it isn't zeroing out all of the rates or attorneys. Does anyone know of a patch to fix this?  Any help is greatly appreciated.

I can confirm what Caren2 is saying re: I have also have several clients running v2017 and the rates thing you are describing is HIGHLY unusual. If you are changing rates, rate rules and running the Wizard, you may inadvertently be doing this yourself. Agreed the screen is not exactly intuitive when it comes to rates and rate rules.

I completely understand what you are saying and if that was the case, would it not have been happening from the beginning? Why it is doing this now? It isn't happening to a new client but now to some older clients and not all. Again, ANY help would be wonderful or even directing me to where or how to fix.

I'm actually not 100% sure EXACTLY what is happening to even be able to start explaining and rate and rate rules are sort of touch to explain via a bulletin board.  Can you provide a bit more of a step by step of what is occurring?

I appreciate but I am manually correcting each slip that has a zero. I will have to wait and respond when I have more time. Thank you

Here is a quick overview: Some clients within this month have the rates zeroed out. It consists of various dates and none are consistent (as in being in a date range) and the database is EXTREMELY slow. Even when we type slips you have to type slowly or it will spit out the words incorrectly because of lag time.

I already checked the attorney names and rates and am slowly entering in the correct rate. Is there a place to go to check why it would zero out some of the attorney rates? Thank you,
