Easy way to retrieve archived slips

SUGGESTED

I am stumped.

Restore the archive into a new empty database. If you are trying to just get some of the slips into the "real database" you can then export what you want and import into the real database.

This assumes that you are running v2017 or newer. If you are running older version it would still apply except that you have a concern about number of slips in the database when you import.

It would help to know why you want to retrieve the archived items.  Are you trying to do something with ONLY those slips? Or do you need them combined in with your current slips for a complete picture of something?

I would: make a backup of your current database, restore it in different/local folder (essentially a sandbox copy of your database), then use TSImport to combine your Archived slips into that sandbox copy and get what you need.

When you are done, you could then just File|Open back to your regular database for everyday use.

It's not something folks do all the time, so it would be normal for this to be stumping you, but as consultants, Caren and I do it quite a bit more than the average user. ;-)
