Timeslips 2018 / The drop down menu includes File, Edit, Slips, Transactions, and so on. When I click on the Transactions drop down box, 4 items show: Accounts Receivable Ctrl+T; Client Funds CTRL+F; Bank Deposit Slips and Electronic Transactions.

Anyway, when I click on Accounts Receivable or Client Funds links, nothing happens. If I use the hot keys, nothing happens. When I go to the Accounts Receivable 'box' that shows all the accounts receivable features and click on the Show Payments and Receivable image, nothing happens.

Okay, that last post is a clue.  I suspect the window is opening up, but off screen.

When you do either the Ctrl + T or Show Payments and Receivables, do you get a scroll bar running along the bottom of your screen?  If so, scroll all the way right and you may see the dialog box.

To attempt to solve the problem.  Close all open windows (easiest way may be to just exit the program and then relaunch it).

Then from the topmost menus, choose Setup, Preferences.

Then click on the Appearance item on the left menu.  You will then see a box on the right that says, Restore all dialog settings to their defaults. Click that, and confirm that you want to do it with a YES.

I would then close Timeslips, and then reopen it and try the Ctrl + T or Show Payments and Receivables again.

The screens were outside the visible area I was using. The scroll bar was below and when I scrolled, both screens showed. I deleted the screens and moved the scroll bar back so my 'normal' screen showed and then used the reset in the Appearance section. Restarted the program and the boxes now appear on my 'normal' screen area.

    Thanks for the help.

Also, , could you mark the suggested answer verified for me? Thanks!

    Great catch, Nancy!

In the future, I might suggest using Window, Cascade to bring any off-screen windows back.  It has a much lesser impact, as would clicking the Advanced icon and only resetting the particular section of the Preferences file you need corrected.

Thanks .  Had not thought about the Cascade option, and of course the Advanced option is new. :-)
