LEDES 1998B custom field

SOLVED

I have all my custom fields set up for LEDES1998B but the Timekeeper Classification field fails to populate. I have customized each timekeeper and added that field to my LEDES1998B but it still won't populate. Any suggestions? Here is a sample of my LEDES1998B field.

@JSteighorst I know you SAY you've done it.  But my only advice is to double check everything.

You need a Timekeeper custom field.  List Type with the few options for the classification in the list.

Then you need to go to each Timekeeper and PICK one of those options for each Timekeeper.

Then you need to tell Timeslips to put that content in that spot in the LEDES1998B file in the audit house settings.

If you feel like you've done all that and it still isn't working, I'd be happy to remote in and take a quick look for you.

In your file, looking at the second line item, at the very end between DBM and Adams is a double vertical bar.  The Timekeeper Classification is expected there.

As Nancy states, while you might have it setup as a custom field on each Timekeeper, it's not being found by Timeslips for one of a few reasons.

    • The custom field hasn't been created
    • The custom field isn't populated on the individual Timekeeper's records as both DBM and JFC are affected
    • Timeslips hasn't been configured under Setup, Audit Houses, LEDES 1998B, Timekeeper Classification and told where to find that custom field data

I also want to point out that your dates are unlikely to be correct, since they show the Billing Start and Billing End Date of the work being billed as December 29th in the year 1899. I recommend not using Custom Fields for that, and make use of the option for 'Start and End dates come from selected slips' instead.
