data token for email template

Question

I was wondering if there is a way to create a new data token? If so, I was hoping to create a data token to change the Bill Date to July 1, 2020 format rather than the default 7/1/2020 format. When emailing my bills, the email template shows Bill Date as 7/1/20. I then have to delay my emails in outlook to modify the date to July 1, 2020. This a more professional preference by our attorneys. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

KelleyP , this is just a guess, but I think the format may be coming from your Windows Regional Settings re: short dates. Just checked my machine, and none of the alternatives will do the long date. But you can test this theory by choosing something different in the Windows setting, rebooting and running a bill to see what you get. Once you see the results, you can change it back, or to whatever you prefer. 
 If it means that much to the firm, I would not use a token at all, but just manually edit the date in the template to text before you start your billing for that day. That way you will only make one edit, rather than having to edit each email. 
 Moreover, the attorneys should be made to understand that their insistence on this will open up the workflow to the possibility for more human error. IMHO, as an attorney, they are obsessing a bit too much about this, but that's okay. It's not my decision to make, it is theirs. As I often say, "it's not my name on the letterhead, or on the bank account, or on the malpractice policy." So it's not my call. I can only advise you as to the pros, cons and costs of a particular methodology.
