A/R check receipts not showing on bill for new client

TS 2010 on a pickled Win7 machine. A dinosaur, like me, hoping to make it to retirement on 2010.

New Client; no prior bills.

A client payment by check shows properly in the Transactions list.

In Print Bills, the payment does not show when I print to the screen whether or not Options|"follow slip date range" is checked or not, or whether or not I set a slip date range.

When I print bills for older clients, payments show.

Suggestions in forums suggest making sure the A/R transactions are not held. I see no option for that in 2010.

Anyone?

  • Are you using Generate Bills or Billing Assistant? Does the client owe money? Or are they paid ahead?

    The client is new and this is the first bill. There are slips totaling over $2,000 (just entered) and a payment after the date of the last slip for $250.

    I am using "Generate Bills."

    Sounds like the client might be assigned a bill layout that is setup to exclude payments. One other option - I believe there is also a box in options about showing unapplied payments. That might also be something to look at.
