When displaying a History Bill apparently no way to get back to main Timeslips (2020 Premium) page

I displayed a history bill (which for some odd reasons did NOT provide a list of payments made by this client, who has been making regular payments for YEARS). Unfortunately on the screen Timeslips 2020 Premium shows for displaying a history bill, there appears to be no way to get OUT of that display and return to the dashboard - only way out appears to be the "X" closing Timeslips entirely. What am I missing? (and why in this version of Timeslips can I not view the full history of this client's bill INCLUDING the client's payments?)

  • When in history bills, before generating, look at options. There should be an option to include AR transactions.

    The ability to exit sounds like a screen resolution issue.

    One history bill only.  For one client only. No "options." What is a "screen resolution issue" ?

    When you go to create the history bill, after you select the client, look down at the bottom and you will see an options button. Click on that and you should see the option to include AR transactions.

    Screen resolution issue means that your video driver has a resolution that Timeslips doesn't work well with so the complete screen is not showing up. There are a few ways to possibly resolve this but providing full details is not something I want to do in a forum.

    Caren, I'm sorry but I'm just not seeing what you are describing. I am in Reports/Billing/History Bill and have selected the client. here are no "options" on the page. The menus from left to right at the top are: Billing Slips A/R Transactions Funds Transactions Client Timekeeper Activity System Tax and Other. There is nothing on the bottom of the screen except "Overview" and a box offering "Show "All Reports" group and the print option. Nowhere is there anything for "Options."

    As far as the screen resolution - the history bill (without any payments) when in "display" mode takes up the entire page.

    We have a brand new high powered dedicated computer with only Timeslips on it so I guess the IT guy will need to get involved.

    The screen resolution issue is making it so you can't see the options at the bottom of the history bill reports page. I can work with you directly, but there would be a small charge. The other option is to reach out to support.

    Yes, well, when I do that I just get an access denied error code so I'm getting our IT guy on the screen problem (as well as the other access denied error code(s). However, I think we must be looking at completely different screens as the History Bill screen where I select the client is clearly something different than you describe and it cannot be expanded.. I would send you a screen shot except Timeslips will not allow a copy of a snipping tool screen shot.
