Sage Timeslip 2007 DB Probliem.

I have regularly did an Import of new Project IDs 

We use a Text file. 

Similar to this layout

a98000 98000
a98001 98001
a98002 98002
a98003 98003
a98004 98004
a98005 98005
a98006 98006
a98007 98007
a98008 98008
a98009 98009
a98010 98010

We use a Template to Import these. 

Template has

Nickname 1

Nickname 2

The Numbers say they import correctly but when i go to a report 

a Function Summary and then Job Number Selection 

When i go to try to search in the Main field of the the Job Number Selection I get the following error

"Requested action failed. Not positioned on an existing record.

Perhaps the record was deleted. If this happens repeatedly, run the Data Verification function.

I run a DB Validation to look for errors it doesn't come up with any errors. 

Does anyone have any ideas on what this error is and how we could fix it.

We have used the same import file for all of the job numbers previously and it worked fine.

    Do you have a backup from before the import? Could you restore, and try your import again?

    Good news that the Data Verification does not see an error, but it does not see all errors.

    Sounds like you will need some data repair on that database. Since it is v2007, Sage will not touch it, but if you would like some assistance, many of the Certified Consultants who frequent this board provide that level of third party remote support. 

    I can't tell if you are importing Clients or References as it appears that you have modified the terminology in your database. That's fine, but then I sort of need a translator. Grin
