Reports Run, But Do Not Appear

Sage Timeslips 9.7. I can retrieve, apply filter data, and run Detail Reports (.rpt) but after crunching the data, the report doesn't appear and no error is displayed. I suspect the Sage Crystal Viewer was not installed on this workstation. Is that the issue? If so, how can I install it?

I don't recall a version 9.7. There was a version 9 with lots of service releases and a 9.1 with some service releases, but either of those would be almost 23 years old. Can you confirm the version again for us?

Do you know for sure that Crystal was used for the report? I would have been VERY rare for it to have Crystal involved. Not impossible, but very rare.

What I suspect is that the output window has gotten hijacked a bit and is rendering off the screen, especially since you get no error message.  Will it output to a CSV? Or PDF?

    Let's try this first.

Close and reopen the program, but before you do anything else, click on Setup, Preferences from the topmost menu.

Then click on: 1) the Interface tab, 2) at the very bottom of the pop up the blue "Click Here" next to To restore all Windows to Default Position and Size, 3) to answer Yes to the resulting pop up and confirm that you really really do want to reset, then 4) on OK to exit the Preferences dialog.

    Now try your report again.

Hmm. On my version the Setup>Preferences menu item has a flyout with four choices, "Operational..." "Screen Font..." "Colors..." and "Copy User Settings". The Operational dialog has startup view and default entry start times, etc. Nothing for "Interface".

On your screenshot, your program icon is a big clock, mine is a small yellow clock over a sheet of paper. And yours says, "Sage Timeslips 2011" while mine says, "Sage TimeSheet". Are these two different softwares?

Ah, okay, yes. They are completely different programs. I am not sure that Timesheet has a Sage City forum.

Also, my bad, I did not catch it when you gave me the Help, About earlier.

    Hi Brad,

Sage TimeSheet was sold to Insperity in 2012.  If you are running a Crystal Report from the program you would need to have the compatible version of Crystal Reports on the computer.  I can try and help if you like.  Just send me an email.
