My company typically requires an initial payment for flat fee billing arrangements. This is essentially a "deposit for services". I have been creating a flat fee for this initial invoice and then a second flat fee for the final invoice. Is it possible to create one flat fee and then bill a portion of this amount in the initial bill and the remaining amount in the final bill? Or does anyone recommend a different way of handling this?
