Sage Timeslips Premium cannot verify your account?

Every 20 days or so, when we try to open Sage Timeslips Premium we get a message saying our subscription cannot be verified and we can't create new timeslips. Our subscription is billed monthly automatically to a credit card. When we call timeslips they are telling us we have to pay a support fee to fix the problem. 

Has anyone else experienced this? What is going on?

    The most common reason for this is that your Timeslips cannot reach the licensing server to verify the license. The licensing server is located in Ireland and some systems are setup to block outside the US. If you can open up access you will likely resolve the issue. Your IT people should be able to look to see waht is being blocked if you let them know when it actually tries to verify.

    How can I be sure I am contacting "the real Sage" for assistance?

    The subscription to Timeslips Premium is auto-renewed, and our inbound support is only accessible via Live Chat either using the in-program link or at https://www.SageTimeslips.com/Pegg

    The entitlement check occurs every 28 days, and as Caren points out, usually means you have an issue with the connection via the internet to our servers.  Contact us (via Chat) for guidance.

    It is because you have geoblocking enabled on your firewall. The Sage server that verifies your subscription is in Ireland. You will need to have your IT folks allow the machine with the main install on it to access Irish IP addresses.

    To clarify, the machine you are using is the machine that is attempting to validate in Ireland and may not necessarily be the "main install" location.

    Clicking Help, About Sage Timeslips Premium and Validate Account initiates the process from that specific computer.  Occasionally you must open Timeslips by doing a right-click, Run as Admin to get the communication to work correctly.
