Check your anti virus. we had this happen yesterday, and our antivirus had quarantined the file. Once we went in and told that it was OK, everything was back to working
Timeslips 2017 is SQL and does not have a "MAIN.DB" file. The database name will have an FDB extension, and the name will be whatever it was named by the user who converted it. You should see a hint in the DBFiles folder, as the server name and database name will be indicated there by reading the folder name.
If it is a single license of 2017, then you should search a MAIN.FDB file located on your local hard drive. Restore a backup if you cannot locate it.
i can only find the tsreg.fdb file. Is there a specific one i am looking for?
i do not have an anti virus and IT said it would remove a file like that. Any other ideas?
the windows defender program removed the main.fdb file. caren, you were right. i didnt know i had that program. nancy saved the day after the IT company wrongly thought we were hacked.
