IMPORTING FROM QUICKBOOKS TO SAGE TIMESLIPS HELLPP!

WE RECENTLY PURCHASED SAGE TIMESLIPS 2014 FOR OUR LAW OFFICE. WE USED QUICK BOOKS ONLINE PLUS AND IT IS NOT ABLE TO IMPORT DATA TO TIMESLIPS. I BEGAN MANUALLY TYPING IN EACH CLIENT, WHICH WAS WAY TOO TIME CONSUMING. WE CALLED SAGE AND OUR TECHNICAL SUPPORT HAD EXPIRED AND ALL THEY TOLD US IS THAT IF WE BOUGHT A FULL VERSION OF QUICK BOOKS THAT WAS A LOWER YEAR THAN OUR TIMESLIPS. BUT BEFORE WE GO AND BUY QUICK BOOKS 2012 I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO HEAR IF ANYONE KNOW THAT THIS WILL WORK? AND WILL OUR QUICK BOOKS PLUS IMMEDIATELY SYNC TO QUICK BOOKS 2012?

IF YOU ARE ABLE TO HELP WE WOULD SO APPRECIATE IT.

I transferred data from Quickbooks Online to Quickbooks Pro 2013, then synced to Timeslips using TAL Pro. Name and address information transferred over fine enough, but time activities did not transfer over at all.  In the conversion from QBO to 2013, time activities were not transferred separately from invoices, which may be a problem.  I also could not get payments to sync over, even though payments transferred over to 2013 just fine.

I am trying to figure out if I need to import data instead, and how I would do that..

TIme entries will not sync. You could do an export from QuickBooks and import into Timeslips. Basically TAL Pro works as follows

Names go from Timeslips to QuickBooks or QuickBooks to Timeslips. Be aware that sending from QuickBooks to Timeslips may result in information in "wrong" fields in Timeslips as QuckBooks doesn't parse in the same way as Timeslips

Expenses can be entered in QuickBooks and then slips are created in Timeslips from those expenses. This works best in Timeslips v2014. It is not automatic.

Invoices are created in Timeslips and optionally sent to QuickBooks if you are linking on an accrual basis (not recommended)

Receipts of Payment are entered in Timeslips and sent to QuickBooks

Trust payments and withdrawals are entered in Timeslips and sent to QuickBooks
