Timeslips 2011 - installing on server 2012

Trying to install a 2011 workstation on server 2012 which is the terminal server.  Timeslips 2011 has installed without issue on Windows 7 machines but will not install on server 2012 with the following message

You are trying to install Timeslips on a workstation that is using an operation <sic> system not supported by Timeslips... see manual

The obvious answer is to upgrade but we're investigating whether we can get around this.

Has anybody here had any experience of this and have you managed to find a way around it?

Claire, my understanding is that Server 2012 is like Windows 8 "under the hood." Normally, we know that Timeslips is indifferent to the version of Windows on a server, but when the program is actually being run there as with Terminal Server then it can be a problem. If Run as Admin and compatibility mode do not help, then your client may need to upgrade Timeslips.

Thanks everyone. We're going to try copying the folder. My concern was that it wouldn't create the registry files and put the necessary system files in the correct place.  My other thought was to create an MSI file, which would put all the registry and system files in the correct place. But it's a faff that may be more trouble than it's worth.
