Not sure why the flat fees are unassigned except to ask if you are sure that for each flat fee billed there was at least one slip recorded on the bill?  Also not sure there is any way to assign them as you ask.

Going forward be sure that is the case and consider using the timekeeper collections report which should include slips on flat fee bills provided there is at least one slip.

Given you have created profiles, simply attach each timekeeper to the appropriate profile and give them a password.  Make sure your administrator password is secure.

Thank you for your reply.  Upon reflection, I'm not sure if I actually saved a slip in addition to the flat fee. For flat fee cases, I have no interest in actually billing my hourly time, but I certainly could add a .00 informative slip to link the flat fee with a slip. Would that action link the flat fee to a slip? Do I have to do that?

I often bill a flat fee legal fee with a slip cost. In that scenario is the flat legal fee linked to a slip, or do I have to have to bill a slip in the same fee or cost category?

Where this is going to become important is in determining each individual attorney's total billing.  Thanks.

My recollection is that for collection reporting to be accurate you need at least one slip on such a bill.  If you follow that rule collection reporting should serve you well as your firm grows.

Allen is correct.  The way the program does the allocation is based on who worked on the invoice.  If there are no slips, then it cannot tell who should get the credit for the collection.
