What version of Timeslips? Use to be that these reports couldn't be reconciled for a lot of reasons so it may depend on version. One area of difference may be related to flat fees.

As to whether these are the right reports to use, that depends on what question you are trying to answer.

In that case my first guess would be related to flat fees, especially if they are not marked as completed. Beyond that it is hard to tell without looking.

That was my guess as well, so thank you for confirming.  So, if I filtered out all the flat fee clients from both reports, do you think the final figures would match?  I just want to be sure each report is for collections received within the same time period, i.e., that I'm using the correct reports for this data.

Without seeing your data it is hard to say, but I would expect it to match.

May I ask how did you create Collections by Timekeeper Report? and can you also ID client who paid in?

Timekeeper collections is a standard report unless you are running an old version of Timeslips.  The report can be shown by client
