text search for multiple names simultaneously..?

Is there a way to text search multiple clients' names at once? I have an average of 150-200 names to search every week, and it's extremely time-consuming to search each name individually.

If it helps to know, I'm working in Timeslips 2010.

Rachel,  what are you searching for that you have to look through every name every week?  Are you using Timeslips for some sort of Case Management tool?

I am searching to see if any of the potential clients/their adverse parties/their affiliated parties have been involved in any of our other cases so that we can avoid any possible conflicts of interest.

It appears (from a Google search) that we are using Timeslips as a case management program. I'm still learning all the aspects of a legal office, so it is a little unclear to me. But I think you might be right.

I just searched our famous "Explore" database in TS 2011 for Atlantic, Eastern ABC and came up with 17 results so I believe the answer to your question is yes.  I agree with the others that Timeslips certainly isn't your best case management option and the quality of your search results will depend on how good the data is.  I would at least do the following:

-Put a copy of your database on a local drive.  This will ensure better performance on searches executed.  Remember this is only a copy for your searching purposes.

-Get familiar with the text search setup tab especially your search options and scope.  <F1> on keyboard will pull up help specific to that page.

-Get to know your Timeslips database and where the data that matters is located.

    Hope this helps!
