"Canvas does not allow drawing" - I can't view invoices or print them

SUGGESTED

A new bug in our Sage Timeslips 2014 is preventing me from reviewing invoices or printing them.  From Billing Assistant, I select "Generage Bills" to PDF File, and I get "Sage Timeslips has encountered an error.  Canvas does not allow drawing."

If I try to generate the bill to display (Print Preview), I get a multipage invoice that is completely blank - no words or figures.  If i try to print it to a PDF, then I get the same error as above.   If I try to print it to a printer I get: "Printer selected is not valid" or "Operation not supported on selected printer".

Egads.  Any help would be deeply appreciated.  It's running in Windows 8.1.

Reinstalling the driver doesn't help but changing the display size settings does (kinda).  If you mean the advanced display settings in Windows 8.1, I am set to "Default" rather than "Small" on retina resolution.  If I access the display settings from Control Panel, the slider that slides between Smaller and Larger is 3/4 towards Larger (i.e. larger, but not largest).  I slid it to 3/4 towards Smaller -- it fixes the problem!!  But it makes all the text in all my applications including Timeslips too small to be functional.  Still, this allows me to at least preview the invoices, then slide it back.  Any thoughts on how to avoid this hassle?  Much appreciated and koodoes to you!
