Billing Alerts for Future Bills?

Has an alert been added to the 2015 version that allows me to get a notification when I want my quarterly bills to be run, i.e. bill today and get a notice in September to bill again?

Not really, I think you should look to creating a recurring event in your calendar program instead of anything within Timeslips itself.

    Hope this helps.

Thank you very much. It's get a bit tough to create calendar reminders when you have 1000+ clients to bill monthly or quarterly. They really should add it to the alerts!

    DeeP:

Knowing WHEN to bill your clients is more of a calendar issue.

Knowing WHICH clients to bill this cycle would be a Timeslips issue. You can use a list-type custom field to manage which accounts need a bill this cycle so that you know you are getting the right ones.

    Hope this helps.

As Nancy suggested, the best process is to create a custom field for billing cycle. Then have a process in place that on the x day of every month you generate bills. You pull all the monthly and whatever quarterly ones are appropriate based on date. No need to calendar 1000 + entries and very easy to do.

Thank you both. I am going to try to figure that out. I haven't used TS for awhile, so this is an adventure.
