Discount for timely payment

I sent a bill to a client using the feature giving a discount if paid by the end of the month. The client paid the reduced balance which included the discount before the end of the month. This payment was posted prior to month end but when I created the bill the following month, the discount was not included. Do I have to discount this manually? Or is there a way to have the discount applied automatically? We're using Timeslips 2016.

    Sounds like something isn't working right for you.  #1) Timeslips does not really have a setting that says that a discount applies if you pay "by the end of the month."  You MUST specify how many days they have to pay.  How many days did this client get to pay?  Did the payment get entered within that number of days?

    #2) When you post the payment within the number of days specified, you should have gotten a popup window that looked like this, and Timeslips would have put the discount in for you at that time.


    Did you see this popup and answer Yes to it when you posted the payment?

    I apologize but I was unclear in my question. A discount would be applied if the invoice was paid by a date certain. I chose June 1 for this date. I asked my secretary who posted the payment about this pop up and she did not see it. We deleted the payment and posted the payment again but did not get the pop up. Not sure what the problem is but I will probably just give the discount manually on this month's billing.
