Validating Case Custom Error - Data Verification TS 2016 Windows 10 OS

We recently upgraded from TS 2013 to TS 2016.  While running 2013 I added a custom field for DATE CLOSED to keep track of inactive cases as we only purge after a file has been closed over 1 year.  There are no attributes applied to this field.  And I did not receive this error while running 2013.

Now when I run data verification I receive the errors:

If I run the data verification again & attempt to repair by checking for validation errors only, it will fix all of the errors.  But only temporarily.  The errors reappear during the next weeks data verification I run before making a weekly backup.  I have also deleted this custom field & re-entered it with the same attributes.  The custom field is currently blank for all open & inactive cases & I received this error today.  I deleted the custom field & re-entered it & ran the data verification again & it found no errors.

Any ideas?  Or will someone have to go in & look at the tables?

Are you on the latest service release for Timeslips 2016? We could look at the tables, sounds like some bad data in there.

I believe you installed the latest service release when we upgraded. If this is something you need to look at shoot me an e-mail & we can set up a time.

When the error returns, is it the same record numbers? I don't have access to your email address. You can call me at 203-254-7736 and we can discuss what I can do to help.

That's an error that can easily be corrected by a Sage Support Analyst or a Certified Consultant that is capable of data repair. Data Verification with Validation will correct the issue but only temporarily. The error shouldn't cause any disruption from billing or normal daily work however, and is more of a nuisance than anything else.

The custom field mentioned has an invalid date in the field. The program will display it as a blank, but the data table has it recorded as -1. The fix will be to set them to 0. If you have no use for the the field and it is not in use, you can also just delete the custom field permanently.,

If you are on a support plan, contact Sage at 800-555-2452 and we can resolve it quickly.
