IS there a way I can export the Customer (or Supplier) Details database including all fields, into an Excel spreadsheet?

Yes sure, this is easily done by doing the following:
1. Go to Accounts Receivable | Maintenance | Customers
2. In this grid, right click and select Customize Grid Columns
3. From this new Customized box, drag all the required fields to the grid header where the current headers are already located.
4. Close the Customization box
5. On the top of the grid, on the toolbar row, click the Save Grid button and from here you can then save the grid in an Excel file format.
