If you can establish a link between Crystal Reports and the Evolution company database by e.g. a SDK connection (or any interal tool within Crystal Tools) i'm sure it may be possible to write your own reports 

This means you could then be possible to make use of the standard Evolution company DB views to help you with your report layout development

The standard DB views (as also used in all Evolution standard reports) are encrypted and cannot be edited.

However, I think (not entirely sure) you may be able to create your own custom views as added onto the Evolution company database and then make use of them on the Common | Reports| Report Builder utility.

Yes, I can establish the link between Crystal Reports and Sage Evolution DB but on which environment I'll run the reports? Crystal reports can run on Sage 300 but  I don know how to run crystal reports on Sage evolution. I have already created the report and they work fine. But how i can link it on the Sage Evolution so that when user log in can access the reports.

My sincere apologies for the late response

Within the Evolution company you will not be able to open Crystal reports and run it on the Evolution company database.

the best possible option here should be to run the reports on the Evolution company database but from within the Crystal reports platform itself (which is opened outside of the Evolution company)

This is how I think it may be possible work, but can unfortunately not confirm it will definitely work as I've never set this scenario up before.

i am reading your Comments. yes under commin --> report builder utility we can configure our own report. but is there anyway we can have datapipeline in our normal reports in sage evolution. ? if its there it will be more flexible. designing reports will be easy.

As you may know yourself: The current Data Pipelines you observe in the Design screen of any report or source document layout are those for the standard Evolution database Views 

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking above, please clarify.

But if you have established the link between Crystal Reports and the Evolution company database, then surely within Chrystal Reports you should be able to pick up these views, correct?

In addition, you can also develop your own custom views on the Evolution company database and also use these in your Crystal Report development projects. 

Please elaborate if I don't fully understand your query?

I am not talking about Crystal Reports.

I am concerned about Report Designer at Evolution . In Evolution Any report we can able to customize ,so when we designing we have some datafield already set it for us. more than that can we able to add our own views in that report ?

Also you were mentioned that under common---> report builder utility we can customize our own report. but how do i filter , filter in the sense , let say i customize a report for GL or any transactions listing report(i know other report can get this information). so i want to filter the transactions from certain date to certain date. how do i filter ,if i use Report Builder utility under common option?

Yes, thanks for clarifying it for me

1) Standard reports- and Document Layouts

All VIEWS (as viewed in the standard Data pipelines) are closed and cannot be edited.

Also, there layouts are not allowing any customized VIEWS and you can only use the standard VIEWS as developed by Evolution Development  

2) Common | Reports  Report Writer

Setting up your own report runtime parameters are possible of course. It's just a a too complex to explain in this forum due to the highly technical nature of the Report Writer module.
