How do I design my sales order picking slip to show stock fully paid for by a customer, and the inventory partly issued out?

SOLVED

A customer has made payments for some inventory. However, he only took a portion of the inventory when loading the stock from the warehouse. The customer has reserved the remaining inventory to be picked up another time.

How do I reserve the quantity for this inventory item? Also, how do I design the sales order picking slip to show how much quantity has been 'reserved' in the warehouse, and how much quantity was 'collected' by the customer?

    Hi Adeniyi

My apologies for the late response.

    1. To reserve stock quantities on the Sales Order

Go to Order Entry | Maintenance | Order Defaults | Sales Order tab

Select the option called 'Activate reserved Stock '

When you capture the Sales Order you'll notice the new transaction line field called reserved Stock that you can now capture as well

    2. To customise the Picking Slip, insert a new field on the Picking Slip layout Design screen, as below:

    Data Pipeline: plInvLines

    Field Name: fQtyReserved

The Picking Slip can't distinguish on how many units were actually collected by the customer as its sole purpose is only to help the warehouse picker to get the correct units per item

    Kind regards
