    Good Morning Francois

    Please confirm the following:

    1. Sage Evolution version/build?

    2. Is this the first time you've set up and attempted to use Mail Merge?

    3. Or has it been working fine earlier?

    4. If yes on Question 3, what recently changed on the network? E.g.. Evolution upgrade, new Evolution server, etc.?

    5. Are you at least able to e-mail invoices, GRV's reports, etc.,  out of the company?

    6. How many years of Customer and Supplier transactions in the Evolution company?

    Kind Regards

    Bennie

  • Sorry about al the replies, but something went wrong on the sage page.

  • Hi Francois

No problem at all Slight smile

Please also respond to questions 5 and 6 above so I can see the complete picture here.

  • Hi Bennie

    5. Yes I can email invoices.

    6. 2 Years transactions

I want to use the Mail Merge to email all customers a letter.

  • Hi Francois

    Thanks for clarifying.

Please test what happens when you do the following:

    1. Create a blank new company.

    2. Create 3-5 new demo customers, each with their own e-mail addresses, you can use your and your colleagues' e-mail addresses at this point.

    3. Set up the Mail Merge utility

    4. Test what happens when you try to send a Mail Merge message.

The purpose of doing this is to test if your query is perhaps company database related or not.

I can also confirm that I've never seen your error message below, it's quite new. That means we need to troubleshoot it further.

Having said that, please also confirm:

    1. Please send me a screenshot of the Evolution Server's Computer Properties screen

    For instance, below is mine:

    2. Have you tested your query when no one else is working in the company? If not, please do so and let me know.

    3. MS SQL Server version?

    4. Is this SQL Server Enterprise, Standard or Express?

    5. What is the size of the Evolution company database's MDF and LDF files?

    6. Do you generally observe slowness and latency issues when working in the company? E.g. when processing or running reports, or simply general navigating within the company?

  • Hi Bennie

    1. I do not have the server settings, as our evolution is hosted by Brilliant Link.

    2. I have tested it, and still not working.

    3. I do not have the info, as our evolution is hosted by Brilliant Link.

    4. I think its SQL Express.

    5. I do not have the info, as our evolution is hosted by Brilliant Link.

    6. Yes, but I always thought is was due to the fact that we connect via VPN (Forticlient).
