The Procurement processing consists of two main phases:

1) Requisitions 

2) Purchase Order approval process workflow 

So are you specifically referring to the second page above?

Yes, the second page only, need to send a notification to the users involved in the PO approval workflow once the PO has been created.

Hi Bennie, thanks for the above article..

I was so excited to open it but when I finish reading i got bit disappointed, it saying a manual email from all level which cannot be accepted, as you know we cannot ask the approvers to send manual emails, in fact I am looking for a automated email alert to next level so that they will come to know there is a PO waiting for their approval.

The above proposed process is an additional task and system should make things easy. However let me try the alert management module...

Sorry to disappoint you.

The only other alternative will be to make use of the Alert Management module to send the e-mail alerts to the next person in the workflow.

But having said that, I'm going to get a second opinion today and will soon follow up with you.

I've discussed your query with Evolution Development and can now confirm the following:

The only 2 ways to inform the next agent in the workflow is

a) as per my initial advise above, or

b) developing an Alert Management alert 

Sorry, not the news you wanted to hear but at least now we both know the possibilities here.
