I managed on the previous queries,thank you for the concern.

but i came across an asset whose book start date is 1-6-2017 with this amount 761,900,000tzs and the current book value is 604,039,510 so when i try to change from the old book value with the new value on date 01-06-2023 it saying the revalued value can not be less than the book value of 607403611.31

old book value is 761,900,00

the one we want to put is 604,039,510

the one in the error msg is 607,403,611.31

kindly elaborate and help please..also if you can give me your whasap number i will be happy

Since the New Book Value is lower than the current one, you would need to do an Impairment for the difference between old book value and new book value.

I can also suggest the following:

1. Back up the live company.

2. Restore it as DEMO 

3. Locate and open the DEMO company.

4. Perform the Impairment Transaction.

5. Run the Book Depreciation report twice: on report dates before and after the impairment transaction to test /evaluate the results.

6. If you're satisfied, repeat the transaction in the live company.
