Sage 200 Evolution is a classical desktop application that can be employed on a Local Area Network.
This means you have workstations and a dedicated Evolution/MS SQL Server that hosts the Evolution company databases.

But Evolution can also be hosted on a Cloud Hosted server, such as in a RDP Server environment.

In addition, you can also run a hybrid setup where Evolution is locally installed. However, the Evolution company database is hosted and located from a Cloud server and is accessed by a VPN connection. 

In short, Evolution can also be considered as 'Cloud Connected'
