Equity Changes on the horizon

Next week a new Release for Sage 300 People will be available.
This release will contain Periodic Reconciliation changes as well as Equity Changes.

With the Equity changes the system will try and apply logic to correct Equity History from the Employee History data.
But this mean that any changes which customers made directly on the Equity History screen will be deleted and replaced by data from the Employee History.
We are hoping that the impact is not too big as we always advise to correct Employee history and run the maintenance and not to edit the Equity History screen.
This will also be in the release notes, but warning our HR users ahead of time is a good idea.

 What must be done:

Customers who do edit directly on the Equity History must please extract their Equity History using the Employee Equity History batch which is available under Utilities > Batches > System Define Batches and keep this to import again after the update if they want to keep this history instead of Employee history.

In the new Equity, the batch will have 2 options, one for Take-on and another for Update. Any imports done with the Take-on batch will never be overwritten by the maintenance so data will stay as they have changed it with the batch forever and they can comfortably run the Equity Maintenance going forward.
